MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB) announced today that Sid Fuchs, President and CEO of MacB, delivered the keynote address at the 2013 Encounter Engineering Business Conference. The science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related event took place on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Louisiana State University (LSU).

Approximately 400 students, faculty and business leaders turned out to hear Fuchs articulate the value proposition and  the steps it takes to build and maintain a strategic network based on goals, objectives, trust and a “pay it forward” attitude. He stressed the importance of connecting with people that have similar aspirations and the value it creates for all involved.

He ended his discussion with a list of the “Top 20 Things I’ve Learned” to highlight key learning takeaways he has gained from his more than 30 years experience in a wide array of business models, positions and responsibilities, successes and failures.

“The topic of strategic networking and the ability to do it well is critically important to students as they start and nurture their careers,” said Fuchs. “I was honored to provide the insights I have gained from successfully building my network and look forward to continuing to support critical STEM programs across the country.”
