Eileen Cassidy Rivera has recently been named Vice President of Global Marketing and Communications for Harris Healthcare Solutions. She reports to Dr. Vishal Agrawal, President of Harris Healthcare Solutions. In this new role, Rivera will lead the company’s global marketing, communications and branding programs.
Rivera comes to Harris with significant experience in business, technology and health IT. Earlier this year, Rivera formed Cassidy Rivera Communications and worked with clients to provide strategic communications, branding and integrated marketing. Prior to founding her firm, Rivera was vice president of marketing and communications for Cognosante. From 2005-2011, she was vice president of communications and investor relations at Vangent, a General Dynamics company, where she led the company”s external and internal communications and investor relations programs. Before joining Vangent, Rivera was director of public relations at EDS Federal, which is now HP Enterprise Services.
Prior to her tenure in the government services industry, Rivera served in the Clinton Administration where she held senior roles at the Commerce Department, Small Business Administration and the Peace Corps. At Hill & Knowlton, she managed a diverse portfolio of international and corporate clients.
An expert in the fields of communications, branding and marketing, Rivera is a regular guest columnist on WashingtonExec.com. She has enlightened readers on crisis management, tips for firms on how to provide exceptional customer service and taking marketing and communications strategies to new heights.
