XLA announced today the award of an Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions II (EAGLE II) contract vehicle to its wholly owned subsidiary, ALON, Inc. As a prime on this Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract, ALON will compete for task orders to provide Information Technology (IT) Program Support Services throughout the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its component organizations.

“This award is extremely significant to our organization.  We have been supporting the Department of Homeland Security for many years over the life of our company, and being selected as one of the organizations to provide services to DHS through the EAGLE II program is an honor, indeed,” said Bill Weber, President and Chief Operating Officer of XLA. “We are excited to be able to continue to assist in the mission of keeping America safe.”

Functional Category 2 includes the full range of business and technical management services in support of DHS offices or programs, excluding acquisition support services. These services encompass all areas of IT policy and planning including, but not limited to, capital planning, strategic planning, workforce planning, budget execution, performance management, enterprise architecture, data management, information sharing, information security, training, enterprise resource management, business process re-engineering, IT transformation and strategy, organizational change management, and program management office support.

The total combined ceiling for all awarded EAGLE II contracts is $22 billion over the next seven years. ALON is one of 11 awardees under Functional Category 2.
