STG, Inc. today announced that 30 year industry veteran Tom Anderson will serve as chief operating officer of the enterprise and IT infrastructure solutions provider.
Anderson is tasked in that post with improving efficiencies, managing daily operations and pursuing opportunities to bring new contracts to the mid-size company headquartered in Reston, Va.
“Many companies are tightening the screws, but STG and [CEO] Simon Lee are investing and bringing on new talent and you don’t see a lot of that today,” Anderson said in a press statement released Tuesday by the company. “STG is positioning itself to be the go-to services contractor for the Government, and I’m excited to be part of that.”
STG specializes in cyber security, enterprise network operations, systems engineering and integration, software engineering, financial services and linguistic and intelligence solutions.
Anderson served as president of Wyle’s Science, Technology and Engineering business group prior to joining STG. He also worked 6 years as president of CSC, and once served as a senior executive in operations and business development for FDC/Northrop Grumman IT and Raytheon.
STG CEO and Chairman Simon Lee welcomed Anderson to the company.
“Tom shares our passion for the employee-centric, family culture we enjoy at STG,” Lee said. “We are looking forward to Tom’s leadership and extend him a warm welcome to the STG family.”
Anderson graduated from George Mason University (GMU) with a Master of Science in technology management.
