The Women in Technology (WIT) Education Foundation is participating in a 24-hour online fundraiser for nonprofits throughout the metro area on Thursday, June 6th. The Do More 24 campaign, powered by the United Way of the National Capital Area, is designed to link nonprofit organizations with the power of collective action and collective giving.
More than 700 non-profits in the area will be participating is this online giving effort. WIT will be donating a large portion of the proceeds from the Do More 24 campaign to the WIT Girl’s In Technology Program.
The foundation is also competing for award dollars based on how the amount of funds raised online. The more money donated, the better chances the foundation has for winning additional funding for STEM educational programs.
