Salient Federal Solutions, Inc. (Salient) today announced its new award contract by the Federal Election Commission (FEC). The $5.7 million contract has a six-month base and four one-year option years. Salient will provide software engineering services, operations and maintenance for FEC’s Electronic Filing (EF) System.

The EF System software enables filers to record and track information required for reporting to the Commission and to securely submit this data electronically. It allows the FEC to review statements and financial reports filed by political committees participating in Federal elections, provide assistance and guidance to the committees to properly file their reports, and to take appropriate action to ensure compliance.

“We look forward to building on the longstanding and successful working relationship we have had with the FEC. We appreciate the agency’s confidence in our abilities to provide improved software, operations and maintenance that will help their systems become more efficient and more effective for their users,” says Brad Antle, CEO of Salient. “This is also a great opportunity for Salient to implement some of its most sophisticated solutions to help the FEC achieve their goals of tomorrow, today, while reducing maintenance costs.”

The new award also includes Managed Services Infrastructure, Electronic Filing and Disclosure Systems Operations and Maintenance, and help desk for users of the Electronic Filing Office (EFO).

Salient has served the FEC for the past 10 years in designing, building, deploying and operating several large key applications and critical systems used by the Office of Information Technology (OIT) through its FEC IT Support contract.
