Octo Consulting Group has named Tracy Denny Vice President of Business Development. In the newly created role, Denny will be responsible for establishing and leading all aspects of the firm’s business development efforts. His tasks include business development personnel oversight, capture and proposal management functions, and leading strategies to achieve the firm’s strategic growth objectives. Denny will report directly to Mehul Sanghani, President and CEO of Octo Consulting Group.
“We’re very excited to have Tracy on board as part of our expanding senior leadership team as we embrace this next phase of our evolution as a firm,” said Sanghani. “Over the last several years, we have experienced exponential growth that has been fueled by being one of the few small firms with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology for analytics, data visualization, and agile development within the Federal space. These capabilities have become a growth driver and strong complement to the IT management consulting and advisory services that the firm continues to embrace and deliver.”
He added, “We have an aggressive growth strategy that includes a very prescriptive investment strategy for continuing to evolve these established core capabilities in our key national security and healthcare markets – and we are extremely elated to have found a senior business development leader with the right experience to help us achieve our ambitious objectives.”
Denny has over 20 years of experience working with clients in federal, state and local government, healthcare, higher education, and private sector markets in both the U.S. and Canada. Prior to his current role, Denny led business development organizations as both a consulting partner and corporate executive in key leadership roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, IBM, Serco, and STG International.
Currently, Denny is currently a member of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) in the National Capital Area, the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), and the American Council for Technology (ACT) – Industry Advisory Council (IAC). Denny is also an Advisory Board member for the Northern Virginia Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and has served as a volunteer chairman for non-profit organization fundraising campaigns and events throughout metropolitan D.C.
