The DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) and INADEV announced today the 2013 DC Jazz Festival mobile app is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play stores. Developed by INADEV, the 2013 DC Jazz Festival app was designed as a comprehensive and interactive guide to help music lovers maximize their festival experience.

“The DC Jazz Festival is one of the most highly anticipated cultural events in the nation so we wanted to make this application accessible to a wide array of music lovers and mobile devices,” said Ferhan Hamid, CEO, INADEV. “We also wanted to maximize users’ experience by including a more robust integration with social media.”

The app will help users customize their schedule with the latest festival details including: artist line ups, over 125 event and program schedules, directions to venues at a click of a button and more.

“The mobile app is a major contribution to the festival experience,” said Sunny Sumter, executive director, DCJF. “INADEV hit all the right notes.”

    New features include:

    • Social Media Integration: Full integration with social media channels enable easy sharing with friends and family.
    • Artist Social Media Information: Connect with your favorite artists before, during and after the festival.
    • Calendar Synch: Add any event to your phone’s personal calendar.

INADEV participated in this year’s Federal Mobile Computing Summit. To read about it, click here. We also interviewed Hamid earlier this year about security for mobile devices.
