Ted Leonsis, Co-CEO, Groupon, hosts 2013 MindShare event

For the 17th consecutive year MindShare, an exclusive organization for CEOs of the most promising high tech companies in the Washington, D.C. area, yesterday announced the members of its 2013 class. An event for this year’s members took place yesterday at the Verizon Center and was hosted by Ted Leonsis, co-CEO of Groupon, as well as and the MindShare board.

About 50 to 60 CEOs are selected annually from top emerging technology companies to come together in a private intimate setting. MindShare’s mission is to help CEOs build long-term, sustainable companies by creating opportunities for growth, while also promoting a sense of community and fostering teamwork in a collegial environment.

Some of this year’s members include  Mike Corkery of Deltek, Jeff Butler of Privia Health and Tammy Wincup of EverFi. MindShare has a number of successful alumni that include the following:

Joe Payne of Eloqua (2012 IPO and acquired by Oracle for $871M)

Tim O’Shaughnessy of LivingSocial (raised over $180M in 2010)

Reggie Aggarwal of Cvent (raised $136M in one of the largest Series A rounds on record in 2011)

Rick Rudman of Vocus (2005 IPO)

Hemant Kanakia of Torrent Networking Technologies (acquired by Ericsson for $450M)
