    Karen Appleton Promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Alliances at Box

    Karen Appleton, SVP of Global Alliances, Box

    Karen Appleton has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Alliances at Box. Formerly head of Business Development at the firm, Appleton’s new role calls on her to oversee the company’s relationships with key global customers and manage Box’s government relations, international relations and corporate social responsibility programs worldwide.

    Named one of the most influential women in Silicon Valley by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, Appleton previously served as Vice President of Development and was a member of the executive at Prosper Marketplace. She also served as National Marketing Director for the corporate group at Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison LLP.

    The executive worked at Lexis-Nexis, and launched the company’s internet product, managed top-tier accounts, and ran business development for the state of Hawaii. Currently, Appleton holds an advisory board seat with The Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives. She also serves on the Board of Directors for SV2.
