Unisys Corporation has been awarded the Enterprise Computing Center Support (ECCS) contract from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to continue support of the agency’s mission-critical computer environment for processing U.S taxpayer information.The single-award indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract allows the IRS to award Unisys task orders to provide support and maintenance services for the IRS computing environment, including Unisys ClearPath Dorado servers, for functions such as processing tax returns and maintaining taxpayer records.If all options are exercised, the contract is worth a maximum value of $650 million over 10 years based on a one-year base period and nine one-year options, exercisable at the discretion of the government.All work will be performed under task orders. The first task order awarded has a contract value of approximately $14.6 million for the base period. The value of each option year increases incrementally over the previous year, and the total task order value is approximately $186.7 million if all options are exercised.Unisys performed similar work for more than 10 years under the predecessor Service Center Support System contract. Under that contract, Unisys supported the IRS in maintaining a highly reliable, mission-critical computing environment and helped the agency consolidate and modernize its mission-critical processing operations.“With this contract award, Unisys continues our work with the IRS to help the agency with its mission-critical computing operations,” said Venkatapathi “PV” Puvvada, group vice president, civilian agencies, Unisys Federal Systems. “We look forward to working with the IRS to provide secure and efficient service in support of U.S. taxpayers.” .google {left:100%;display:inline-block;position:fixed}
