Where’s one of the best places to work in Virginia? According to the Best Places to Work in Virginia survey and award program, Sevatec, Inc. has made the cut with 80 other companies, divided into three groups by size. Sevatec, Inc. was named in the mid-sized category.

“We are gratified by the recognition of our core values, corporate culture, and equality,” said Vice President of Human Resources, Joan Moret. “We have a diverse and remarkable group of people at Sevatec who create a positive work environment and we will remain committed on building a work environment that enables our employees to feel valued and thrive professionally. Sevatec is proud to be recognized as one of Virginia’s top employers.”

Designed by Virginia Business and Best Companies Group, the survey and award program identifies, recognizes, and honors the best places of employment in Virginia that benefit the state’s economy, work force, and businesses.

Organizations from across the state entered a two-part survey process to be considered, with the first part consisting of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience in the eight core focus areas of Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, Relationship with Supervisor, Training and Development, Pay and Benefits, and Overall Engagement.

The rankings of the 3rd annual Best Places to Work in Virginia will be published in the February 2013 issue of Virginia Business.
