QinetiQ North America Appoints Dr. J.D. Crouch Chief Executive Officer

QinetiQ North America’s (QNA) Technology Solutions Group President Dr. J.D. Crouch II has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company following the pending retirement of Duane Andrews at the end of the fiscal year on March 31, 2013. Crouch has been the Technology Solutions Group president since November 2009, and has spent that time successfully building QNA’s defense products business.”I am excited to be taking on the leadership of QinetiQ North America,” Crouch said. “This is an energetic organization with an unrelenting commitment to our customers at its core, and I believe we are well-positioned to take the business to the next level of its development and growth.”Crouch has spent his 30-year career serving various public and private sector leadership positions. From 1995-2001, he was co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of PalmGear.com, the Internet’s leading Palm OS App Store. He later went onto serve as Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy. From 2004-2005 he was appointed US Ambassador to Romania, then was promoted to Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor until June 2007.Andrews has spent the last six years since his appointment as CEO integrating QNA’s three subsidiaries and managing its acquisition strategy. He arrived at QNA boasting a distinguished 45-year career in both the public and private sector. He served in the U.S. Air Force, followed by a professional staff member position on the U.S. House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.Later, he served stints as Assistant Secretary of Defense, Command Control Communications and Intelligence and as Pentagon Chief Information Officer. In 1993, he moved to the private government contracting industry joining the Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
