    Engility Appoints Timothy R. Knight To Lead International Development Business

    Timothy R. Knight, Engility
    Timothy R. Knight, who leads the relief and reconstruction programs for Engility Holdings, has been appointed to serve as vice president and general manager for the company’s international development business. He will collaborate with U.S. government partners to identify and solve complex socio-economic challenges in developing countries, including creating economic growth, resource development and sustainment, stability operations and disaster response, governance and capacity building.He will replace Asif Shaikh, who will now lead a newly-created Strategic Relations function and will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with Engility’s senior level customers and other government stakeholders. Knight will report to John Heller, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Engility.Engility President and CEO Tony Smeraglinolo acknowledge the company’s role in working with USAID to deliver economic and humanitarian assistance throughout the world, as well as what Knight’s position will do to continue that mission.“As a leader on the international development team, Tim shares his colleagues’ passion for building a cleaner, safer and more prosperous world. The entire Engility team will benefit from his tremendous knowledge and experience in the international development arena,” he said.Knight’s work with USAID began years ago when he worked as a former employee working in offices that provided humanitarian and disaster relief in numerous countries.
