Chickasaw Advisory Service, LLC has awarded Salient Federal Solutions, Inc. a subcontract that will support efforts at the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) in providing the technical expertise needed to plan and implement DTIC’s network wide IPv6 transition project. The one-year project will be completed in four phases.
“We are proud to be able to support DTIC in its mission to enable the ongoing, critical IT services of the DoD,” said Salient COO Bill Parker. “We pride ourselves in providing the best, most effective, lowest-risk plans to our current and future customers.”
Phase 1 will include discovery and high-level planning, Phase 2 will include the architect, design, implementation, operation of the IPv6 network, and the Security Authorization and Agreement (SAA) process, Phase 3 will be the final IPv6 implementation, and Phase 4 will cover the design, testing, refinement, and enablement of IPv6 on the internal.
With a mission statement to provide essential, technical research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) information rapidly, accurately and reliably to support DoD customers’ needs, DTIC serves the Department of Defense (DoD) community. It is the largest central resource for DoD and government–funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related information available today.
Salient’s Cyber Security Center of Excellence, in collaboration with Salient’s Software and Systems Engineering Solutions (SSES) business unit, will help conduct the work.
