Women in Technology (WIT) has announced its call of nominations for the 14th Annual Leadership Awards, to be held April 18, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Reston, Va. as part of the Leadership Awards Banquet. Nominations accepted until January 11, 2013, and WIT members and non-members are eligible for nomination.

“This year’s theme, ‘No One Path,’ truly reflects the achievements of the many remarkable women who continue to blaze the trail and support other professional women to succeed in the technology industry,” said WIT President Nancy Lamberton. “For 14 years, we have honored these women who have chosen the path to technology and contributed so much from providing mentorship to the next generation of leaders to advocating for equal representation on corporate boards. These women are devoted to continuing WIT’s mission – the advancement of women from the classroom to the boardroom – and we look forward to celebrating their contributions in April.”

WIT, the premier organization contributing to the success of professional women in the Washington, D.C.-area technology community, has the annual awards program to honor leading female professionals living in the Washington, D.C. metro area. These women bring a unique vision and talent in the technology arena as architects of change along with a passion for mentoring future leaders and supporting their community.

WIT is accepting nominations in the following categories: Corporate: Private Sector (Large and Small), Corporate: Public Sector (Large and Small), Government, Entrepreneur, Social Impact IT, Health IT, Unsung Hero, Rising Star, and Women in Technology Champion.
