Michael “Mike” McKinney has been named Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Sevatec, Inc., a leading provider of management and technology consulting services for the federal government. As CTO, McKinney will help in the development and implementation of integrated systems and IT infrastructure.

“We are very fortunate to have Mike join our executive leadership team,” said Sonny Kakar, President and CEO of Sevatec. “He has the strategic vision, technical management talent and in-depth knowledge of the federal contracting arena to successfully guide Sevatec’s technology strategy to the next level of performance and growth.”

McKinney, who has a career spanning more than 15 years, has held several technical and management positions at contractors like Trusted Concepts, Solutions Made Simple, and Platinum Solutions, and he has experience developing and delivering mission-critical federal systems and knows how to manage large-scale corporate IT environments. McKinney is also a founding Board Member of the Southeast Virginia Java Users Group.

“I was attracted to Sevatec because of the quality of its people and the importance of its mission,” said McKinney. “I am proud to be aligned with such a highly credentialed team that is so passionate about projects to protect the citizens of our nation. As Sevatec continues to expand its capabilities as an organization, I look forward to growing my own contribution to the company’s tradition of technology leadership and innovation.”
