General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) won a task order, worth $99.9 million over five years, by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to support its Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) program. This task order was awarded under the CMS Enterprise System Development contract.

“Ensuring claims are paid correctly is a vital element in keeping the Medicare system functioning smoothly,” said Marcus Collier, senior vice president of General Dynamics Information Technology’s Health and Civilian Solutions division. “We look forward to helping CMS continually improve its system for managing payments and its overall customer experience.”

The MSP program protects Medicare program integrity and General Dynamics has supported CMS for more than 30 years with the Health Care Quality Improvement System, the Chronic Condition Warehouse, the Retiree Drug Subsidy program, the Drug Data Processing System, and the Payment Reconciliation System.
