The latest issue of WashingtonExec‘s E-Magazine features the start of our new series for the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards (GovCon), where we will be interviewing finalists all through the month of October. Check out the interview in this issue with MicroTech CEO Tony Jimenez and what exactly the GovCon awards are, if you’re not so sure.

We also provide our usual feed for what you need to know in the world of business, including featured stories with GovCon Awards nominees,a former cyber hacker turned executive, and a Chief Marketing Officer. Updates on SAIC’s split (project Gemini), M&A Activity and executive appointments are also included in this issue.

The news continues with federal contracting wins and of course, the events we’d like you to save the date to! The Choral Arts Society’s 32nd annual gala, the Kidney Ball, and the Sweet Home Virginia Gala are all coming up, especially the Gala on October 19th.
