There’s still time to submit nominations for awards to be presented at the K-12 STEM Symposium on April 14.
This is the first year for the awards. The awards program recognizes and honors businesses and individuals for their efforts to develop or promote K-12 science and technology programs that add value to the local community and inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
To qualify, nominees must be able to attend the awards ceremony during the symposium at Nysmith School for the Gifted.
Four awards will be given:
- Best STEM-Supporting Business of 2018
- Most Inspiring STEM Executive of 2018
- STEM Rising Star (elementary, middle, high school or college students)
- STEM Nonprofit
Winners are selected by the WashingtonExec STEM Council and will be recognized with trophies at the symposium.
