Craig Janus, who most recently was vice president of the Federal Civilian, Health and National Security business at URS Corp.’s Systems Engineering and Information Solutions Group, has been named chief operating officer of KeyLogic.

Janus will be responsible for ensuring KeyLogic’s structured and managed growth within emergent, nationally important missions.

“Having a COO with the right breadth of experience is a significant step strategically as KeyLogic emerges as a mid-range enterprise,” said Jon Hammock, KeyLogic president and CEO. “Craig is clearly the right choice and his depth of experience and knowledge are tactical assets that align with our mission and vision.”

At URS, based in Chantilly, Virginia, Janus provided engineering and technical services for public agencies and private sector companies around the world. He developed market focus, strategic and tactical account plans for cabinet-level agencies winning a significant amount of new business across the portfolio over the last 18 months.

Prior to URS, Janus held senior executive roles with Vangent, Science Applications International Corp. Sprint and others.

Janus has been an adjunct professor and maintains a close relationship with Johns Hopkins University. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps and holds a Master of Science degree in Information & Telecommunications Systems from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Washington Adventist University.
