The SI Organization, Inc. (the SI) has announced a mentor-protege agreement with ISYS Technologies under the Department of Homeland Security Mentor-Protege program.

ISYS Technologies, a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) that employs more than 100 people nationally, was awarded the prestigious Department of Defense Nunn-Perry Award in 2011, and in 2010 was named the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Region VIII, Small Business Subcontractor of the Year. ISYS was ranked 16th among the Top 100 Woman-Owned Companies in Colorado.

“The SI prides itself on being a partner of choice for our industry teammates, subcontractors and small business partners,” said Jim Carlson, who leads the SI’s homeland security line of business. “We are pleased to be able to formalize our relationship with ISYS to share our experiences and help them grow and develop their company.”

Under the three-year agreement, ISYS will be positioned for federal prime contracting opportunities—SI will work with ISYS to further define and develop ISYS’ engineering methodologies and administrative processes.
As a leading provider of full life cycle, mission-focused systems engineering and integration capabilities to the U.S. Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and other agencies, SI’s scalable systems engineering platform for modeling, simulation and analysis helps customers baseline requirements, optimize resources and manage risk.

The company has successfully delivered complex, system-of-systems technology solutions for forty years, employing more than 2,100 people with major locations in Chantilly, Va., Denver, Laurel, Md., Los Angeles, and Valley Forge, Pa.
