The George Washington University will honor STG Chairman and CEO Simon Lee at the 76th Annual Alumni Achievement Awards on September 27th for his philanthropic contributions towards education and community.
The Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award is the highest form of recognition given by the university and the GWAA to an alumnus on an annual basis.
“I believe that education is the cornerstone of society,” said Mr. Lee. “Giving to institutions like GW helps those who could not otherwise afford an education the chance to achieve their dreams. By providing resources to professors and staff, these donations help develop a strong education environment that best prepares our students and future leaders.”
“As an entrepreneur, the education I received has been invaluable to me. Entrepreneurship and philanthropy are both investments, and it is important to strike a balance between the two. When I invest in STG, I give back to my employees and customers. I give them a higher quality of life, better services, more resources at their disposal. When I give to GW, I’m investing in the future of our society.”
