Salient Federal Solutions, Inc. (Salient) VP of Corporate Capture Management, Hélène Courard, spoke at the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) dinner. On the topic of “Proposal Processes that Work for Your Company’s Size & Maturity,” the event took  place September 19th at the Westin Tysons Corner in Falls Church.

The event was set to discuss how companies (large, mid, and small businesses) develop, maintain, and produce proposals in today’s market. Rather than using a one-size fits all approach, businesses have used tailoring processes and tools to their specific organizations to succeed.

Attendees should have learned considerations and inputs driving organizational and processing decisions for businesses of all sizes. Because of the government’s move toward lowering the number of contracts being offered, agility and efficiency help to increase team performance.

“Hélène’s focus and dedication is crucial for Salient to manage the transition process from business opportunity to proposal development to contract award,” Says Bill Parker, COO of Salient. “Her technical expertise coupled with extensive best practice industry knowledge has empowered us to pursue and win many strategic bids that directly align to our business plan while ensuring our clients are receiving the right solutions to the challenges they face now.”

Courard’s organization supports pursuing and bidding new work and executing against Salient’s aggressive growth strategy with agility and efficiency. Responsible for the Capture and Proposal organization at Salient, Courard’s key mission is building the best capture and proposal organization in the industry.

With over 19 years of experience, she is also responsible for establishing and implementing the capture and proposal processes and procedures; managing all BD systems for the corporation; and capture and proposal planning and the execution of strategic opportunities. Courard has a proven record of successful leading, inspiring, and directing teams in full-opportunity lifecycle development, operations, and governance.

Salient is a leading provider of information technology, engineering, and intelligence analytic services to agencies in the intelligence, defense, homeland security, cyber security, and federal civilian markets, today.
