Randy Siegel, most recently Director of Mission Critical Mobility Initiatives at Motorola Solutions, has been named Fixmo Inc.’s Senior Vice President of U.S. Federal Government Sales and Strategy.

Fixmo Inc Mobile Risk Management (MRM) solutions protect mobile devices and apps from private data loss, monitor and track regulatory compliance, and enables proof through enterprise reporting and auditability.

“The Consumerization of IT phenomenon shows no signs of stopping,” Siegel said. “The cows have left the barn so to speak. In order to protect the valuable IP of organizations and in the case of the U.S. Federal Government – mission and often life dependent operations – we need to make sure that all devices in the field are as protected as other IT assets. Fixmo does this and has a long heritage of providing integrity and risk management solutions to some of the most important customers in the world.”

Siegel, a veteran of Fortune 100 companies, headed up Motorola Solutions’ Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSFC) go to market efforts when he was Director there. Initiatives included working directly with NSA, DISA, Joint Chiefs of Staff as well as other branches of the DOD and the President’s Community of Interest.

Previously, he has held the position of Chairman of the Tactical and Wearable subcommittee for AFCEA National Defense Mobile Steering Committee (AFCEA DC), and has been a frequent moderator and panelist at AFCEA events around the DC Beltway. Siegel has held management positions with MCI Telecommunications, General Electric, and Paul Kagan Associates and headed Microsoft Federal’s Mobility practice.

Known as the “grandfather” of mobility for his long-tenure in the Federal Mobile space, Siegel holds an MBA from The George Washington University and a BA from Boston University.
