On Friday September 14th Derek Pacque, CEO and managing partner of CoatChex, a ticketless coat check and mobile application system founded in January of 2011, will be featured on the season premiere of the ABC television series SharkTank.
Pacque, a 2011 Indiana University Kelley School Business graduate and 2007 McLean High School graduate, founded CoatChex after his winter coat was stolen from a college bar. Most restaurants and bars in the D.C. area provide patrons basic coat check options, Pacque wanted to bring the cold-weather necessity to Bloomington, Indiana. In less than two years, CoatChex has been used at the 2012 Super Bowl and will soon be available on iPad.
The Emmy-nominated reality show Shark Tank features ordinary American entrepreneurs competing for funding and capital with a panel of prominent angel investors, including Dallas Mavericks owner and outspoken billionaire Mark Cuban.
