    Serco Awarded $38 Million Army Career Transition Contract

    Professional, technology and management services provider Serco Inc. will assist soldiers, including Army National Guard and Army Reserves members, with transition services through a $38 million modification on its Army Career Alumni Program contract.

    ACAP services include face-to-face and help desk support in the U.S., Korea, Italy and Germany as well as virtual counseling services who can’t make it in person.

    “We stand behind the Army’s initiative to expand the career transition services, and are proud to support all soldiers who have done their part in defending our country,” said Steve Sultan, vice president of Serco’s Defense Personnel Services unit.  “We have 22 years of experience providing these personnel services and will be able to use our expertise to support the Army Guard and Army Reserves.”

    Serco teams will be at Army unit locations, mobilization and demobilization sites. It was also create a permanent ACAP center in Kuwait and new instructional material.

    The company plans to hire about 250 people for the task order.
