    Reggie Aggarwal, CEO of Cvent

Cvent, an event management software company, has named Washington, D.C. America’s second favorite city to hold meetings in, behind Orlando, Fla.

With its online Cvent Supplier Network database, professionals can find meeting planners and event service providers to arrange conferences and other events. It also helps organizations create and analyze surveys.

According to its website, “Planning events in Washington, DC gives you options that you would be hard-pressed to find in many other cities,” such as meeting in historic landmarks, well-planned public spaces and embassies, chancelleries and diplomatic residencies.

The area is close to other metropolitan locations in northern Virginia and Maryland and major airports. It offers efficient public transportation, and world-class hotels and restaurants.

The capital of the United States, Washington, D.C. hosts millions of visitors per year.
