Enterprise technology website, CTOVision.com, is welcoming nominations for its annual Government Big Data Solutions Award. A panel of industry and government experts will choose the top 5 nominees and winner, who will each be featured on its sister site, CTOlabs.com, and the Government Big Data Newsletter.

Bob Gourley, founder and CTO of technology consulting firm Crucial Point LLC, also started the blog. It sends a monthly technology trends and review newsletter to over 6,000 people called the Monthly CTOVision.com Tech Review.

According to a post he wrote on the site, handing out the awards is to highlight “government solutions to help share lessons learned and continue to accelerate successful innovation.”

His team also produces the Daily CTOvision.com, the Daily Fedcyber.com, which focuses on federal cyber security news, and the weekly Government Big Data Newsletter.

Award organizers are especially interested in government big data best practices that utilize the Apache Hadoop framework. They plan to present awards at a ceremony this fall.
