TASC, Inc. has joined the Military Spouse Employment Partnership to help military spouses with their careers. The Department of Defense started the program last year, to help military spouses find long-term career opportunities in the private sector.
The partnership helps companies such as TASC recruit the husbands and wives of those in the armed forces. Companies who join the partnership commit to increasing employment opportunities for military spouses, maintaining their employment when they relocate, promoting those who are successful and supporting pay equity for them.
Caryn McGarry, vice president of talent acquisition and management at TASC, said that about 27 percent of the company’s employees are veterans, and many more are members of military and veteran families.
“We understand both the unique qualifications military spouses bring to the workplace and the special demands military service puts on their families,” she said. “We offer great career opportunities in various locations across the United States, as well as benefits such as flex time and tuition assistance that can help meet the needs of many military spouses.”
Founded in 1966, TASC, Inc., works with the intelligence community, federal civilian agencies and the Department of Defense on national security and public safety challenges.
