The U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) awarded SRA International, Inc. a $17.6 million Defense Personal Property System (DPS) contract today.

SRA will supervise two major DPS software releases that assist military members and U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) civilians and their families as they relocate.  With this system, military personnel or DOD civilians can work directly with transportation service providers to schedule their move and manage and track personal items.

USTRANSCOM and its U.S. Army component, Surface Deployment and Distribution Command can access analytics through this system.

“SRA was involved in the creation and development of this system for our service members and their families, so we understand its importance to them.” said Jim Curtis, Defense Logistics Vice President. “We are proud that we have been selected to enhance the system over the next 18 months; our employees have an abiding sense of commitment to this work.”

The contract also allows SRA to provide training and learning management, engineering services, configuration management and operations maintenance support, as well as tier-three help desk and cyber security support.
