Serco Inc. has officially earned ISO/IEC 20000 certification, the world’s first international standard for IT Service Management that measures the principle of IT quality within an organization.
The SRI Quality System Registrar registers the ISO/IEC 20000 certification. Serco had to display integrated approaches in service delivery, relationships, resolution and control to receive the certification.
“Federal government agencies are looking for companies that understand service management principles, and can apply them to provide real world solutions,” said Serco Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ed Casey, “This ISO/IEC 20000 certification demonstrates the strong service-oriented approach to how we do business.”
Under the ISO/IEC 20000 certification a service provider is given defined requirements to deliver managed services, and details for best practices.
