Salient Federal Solutions, a provider of information technology, engineering and intelligence analytic services to federal agencies and commercial markets, has announced its support of the World IPv6 Launch.

On June 6, the IPv6 infrastructure will go live alongside the current IPv4 systems.

IPv6 was tested last year without disruptions and deemed a success. Salient is partnering with customers to smoothly transition to IPv6 and to educate employees about building IPv6 networks as well as securing them.

“One of Salient’s primary focuses is cyber security against sophisticated virus and system hackers which pose a real challenge for the nation,” said Salient CEO Brad Antle.

Leading up to the launch, Salient has participated in panel discussions on implementing IPv6 and ensuring OMB compliancy.

Salient is headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, with four additional offices in the U.S.
