Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a $ 17 million prime contract by the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP).

The single-award blanket purchase agreement has a five-year period of performance. SAIC will provide an enterprise level, Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) compliant Integrated Security Systems (ISS) in support of the BEP Office of Acquisition, Information Technology and Services Contracting Division.

“We look forward to assisting BEP in evaluating their existing security systems and developing recommendations for a new enterprise system to enable a common technology platform that is site independent, while also providing redundancy for disaster recovery purposes,” said SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, John Thomas.

Work will primarily be performed in Washington, D.C., McLean, Va. and Fort Worth, Texas.
