ITT Exelis has joined A Billion + Change, a national campaign to create and expand skills-based volunteer programs in the corporate workplace by 2013.

ITT Exelis joined the campaign at The White House June 27 for a forum about A Billion + Change in Action: Connecting to the Future of Corporate Service.

“Our 21,000 employees at ITT Exelis are committed to making a difference in the communities where we live and work, so skills-based volunteering programs are a great way to convert our energy to effort,” said Dave Melcher, ITT Exelis Chief Executive Officer and President.

Exelis pledges to create opportunities for veterans and military families where the company’s employees live and work.

Exelis is a global aerospace, defense and information solutions and is headquartered in McLean, Virginia.
