    AMERICAN SYSTEMS Appoints Ruth Bowers As VP Of Proposal Development

    AMERICAN SYSTEMS has selected Ruth Bowers as Vice President of IDIQ Service Center/Proposal Development. Bowers will utilize her strengths in strategic business development skills to oversee all proposal development.

    Bowers will also direct new business opportunities in the identification, tracking and pursuit of task orders through the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract Service Center.

    “Ruth brings a solid track record and proven methodology to identifying and winning business through GWAC Task Orders,” said Vice President of Business Development James Scampavia. “Her expertise will assist us in reinforcing our position as a prime contractor of choice.”

    As the recent Vice President of Business Development for GSA/GWAC/IDIQ programs at BAE Systems Intelligence and Security as well as a leader at Apptis, Inc., Titan Corp., CGI-AMS and CSC/DynCorp, Bowers has more than 30 years of experience in the industry.  She specialized in GSA customer relations, with broad operational, contracts, management, and pricing.

    Bowers obtained BS and MS degrees in Information Systems from Strayer University, and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
