    Ed Casey, CEO of Serco

Serco has won a position on the new Consultant, Advisory, and Technical Services (CATS) contract vehicle that will provide support services to the U.S. Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) at 69 Air Force Medical Treatment Facilities in the U.S. and its territories. The ID/IQ contract is valued at $985 million over a five-year ordering period. Task orders may include up to a one-year base period and two one-year option periods.

“The CATS contract is a great example of Serco leveraging our proven capabilities in professional, technology and management services in order to provide cost-effective solutions to an important new customer,” said Bob Wood, Vice President of Serco’s Logistics unit.  “We look forward to working with the U.S. Air Force to enhance its ability to deliver superior medical services to its service members and their families.”

Serco is among 13 awardees on the contract. The company will compete for Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) that include support in the areas of health care administration, executive assistance, financial analysis, business process consulting, policy analysis, engineering and technical services, and others. These services will help reduce critical workload demands being placed on the Air Force Medical Service.
