MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB) announced last week that the U.S. Air Force (USAF) (USAF)  has extended the company’s five-year, $5.4 million contract that supports the Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasure (LAIRCM) program. This contract allows MacB to continue the Research, Development, Test & Evaluation work it has been providing under the previous LAIRCM contract.

“The LAIRCM program is especially important as these aircraft play a significant role in the transport, supply and defense of the warfighter. We are very proud to once again partner with the Air Force to help protect the men and women in uniform,” said Sid Fuchs, President and CEO of MacB.

The terms of the contract permit MacB to analyze performance results to ensure the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) systems meet the USAF’s stringent performance requirements for use on the C-5Galaxy, C-17 Globemaster and C-130 Hercules aircraft.
