Washington Exec asked the simple question to top area executives:
“If you could give your kids only three pieces of advice, what would they be?”
Today’s critical advice comes from Stu Shea of SAIC. Shea was named the new COO of SAIC early this morning.
Start small, think big, scale fast. Even the most aggressive or far-reaching goals always begin with a first step. Small successes build confidence, and move you in the right direction. Never say you can’t do it!
Play like a champion. Always give a 100% of what you are capable, don’t cut corners, practice hard, and recognize that actions you take each and every day follow you forever, so always do the right thing.
Focus more on character than reputation. One you control, the other you don’t. Approach each day ethically, morally, responsibly, and with integrity because It only takes one misstep to erase decades of righteousness.
