The Mobile Government Conference will feature two policy focused sessions will give attendees an opportunity to learn business best practices in mobile implementation and financing, including lessons learned from the private sector and future trends in advanced mobility.
Daniel McKinnon, 1105 Media’s Vice President of Government Events, notes the crucial role mobility has played in federal government plans. “Surveys indicate federal employees are increasingly conducting daily job-related tasks on their smart phones and tablets. It is becoming imperative that government executives have the practical knowledge to address their key concerns before adopting mobile policies and technologies.”
The first session, Mobile Government: The Business Case for Advanced Mobility, will focus on the infrastructure and equipment challenges facing mobile implementation; setting up advanced mobility ecosystems within agencies; updating Wi-Fi and in-building wireless; and security on smart phones and tablet devices. The following sessions will be covered.
The second, Mobile Government: Addressing the Technology Challenges, will feature a discussion on mobility IT infrastructure and device management, security, procurement challenges in advanced mobility, developing an app ecosystem and enterprise app store strategies.
The Mobile Apps Experience will be an interactive exhibit where attendees will have the chance to test the latest mobile app technology and ask developers about designing, developing and deploying mobile apps for the government market.
