    Dr. Stephen B. Walker, CNSI

CNSI announced that it has hired Dr. Stephen B. Walker as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Walker will serve as the company’s clinical thought leader as it continues to transform health care administration with best-practice health care information technology and policy. He will oversee CNSI Clinical Affairs, including evidence-based medical policy.

CNSI President Adnan Ahmed said that Walker’s main priority is “to help our clients achieve the ‘triple aim’ of improving population health, experience of care, and health care affordability.”

“Dr. Walker brings more than 23 years of health care industry expertise as a purchaser, payer and private practice clinician. He has served as a Medicare and Medicaid executive and has held senior posts in disability, worker’s compensation and commercial capacities. His impressive credentials and industry experience make him ideal to lead and strengthen our efforts.”

With board certification in Occupational Medicine and Master’s in Public Health, Dr. Walker holds a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities within the public and private healthcare sectors.

He has held clinical and executive positions that include Medicaid Medical Director for Department of Health and Hospitals of Louisiana, Medical Director for the Blue Cross Blue Shields of Tennessee and Louisiana. He also founded a network of clinic services, Occupational Medical Center, which successfully merged with Concentra Health Services.
