Sumeet Shrivastava, President of Array Information Technology, sat down with WashingtonExec to discuss what three pieces of advice he deemed most important for his children to understand.
- Networkers Credo. Treat everyone you meet with respect, reverence and humility. Mostly, because it’s the right thing to do and way to live, but you also never know when you will run across them again, when you will need them or when they will need you.
- Let the Marco Polo in you get out. Don’t be afraid to explore. Your career isn’t some straight line that has to start at 20, 25, or even 30. Take your ideas and run with them, and if something turns out to be a passing phase that’s okay. You can use that to help understand who you are and identify your core passions.
- Mark Twain was a smart man. “If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” So just remember that one thing! Integrity and commitment.
