New WashingtonExec Series:
WashingtonExec asked the simple question to top area executives:
“If you could give your kids only three pieces of advice, what would they be?”
John Fraser, President and COO of ASM Research:
1. Honesty and Integrity. Many things can happen in the world but honesty and integrity are two of the key things you have full control over in your personal life. Business, Friendships and relationships of all types require these and we all expect those individuals we engage with to have the same ethical view.
2. Be committed. If you are in pursuit of an idea, concept, business engagement, education or sport – always give 110 percent the effort to achieve the results you expect and desire.
3. Risk Management. You will have many choices in your life. Always make the decision on quality information, minimize your risks by seeking out information, and do not be afraid to change your direction when new information is available. Understanding the information will allow you to manage your risk and assist in the decision.
