    SAVE THE DATE: Startup Virginia Launch Event-January 31st

    SAVE THE DATE: Startup Virginia will formally launch its statewide effort to support entrepreneurs and help startups drive job creation with a kick-off event on January 31st. The kickoff will last from 7:30a.m. -10:00 a.m. at the Founder’s Hall, George Mason University, Arlington, VA.

    The event will feature Steve Case, Chairman of the Founding Board of Startup America Partnership, Chairman and CEO, Revolution LLC, Co-Founder and former Chairman of America Online, and Chairman of The Case Foundation and Aneesh Chopra, Assistant to the President and CTO at the Executive Office of the President will speak at the morning launch event on the broader impact of the Startup America partnership and opportunities for Virginia startups.

    The event will also feature a panel discussion with:

    • Jonathan Aberman, Co-Chair of Startup Virginia, President of FounderCorps and Managing Partner of Amplifier Venture Partners
    • Dendy Young, Co-Chair of Startup Virginia and President at Virginia Personalized Medicine Clinic
    • Evan Burfield, Co-Chair of Startup DC  and Chairman and Founder at Synteractive
    • Mark Walsh, Co-of Startup Maryland and CEO of GeniusRocket

    The panel will discuss some of the specific action steps that Startup Virginia and its affiliated efforts in DC and Maryland are planning to execute their respective and collective missions.
