WashingtonExec had the opportunity to interview entrepreneur and Co-Founder of the 2020 Company Haresh Bhungalia. Bhungalia discussed with WashingtonExec his business development strategy as well as the importance of corporate culture. WashingtonExec also asked Bhungalia what phrase embodies the 2020 Company and what he enjoys doing outside of work.
WashingtonExec: Could you discuss your professional background?
Bhungalia: For most of my professional career I have been at 2020, therefore, my background is limited to my experiences at 2020. Within in 2020, I have played multiple roles – but the focus of my time has always been around organizational growth and maintaining the culture.
WashingtonExec: As co-founder of 2020, you serve the company in two significant areas: overall direction of business development and strategic execution of client service and operations management. Where is the overall direction of business development heading?
Bhugalia: We are taking a very focused approach to business development where we are expanding current relationships by adding additional value across the enterprise and pulling through other capabilities. With our current suite of IDIQ and BPA contracts we are able to position and capture new business opportunities.
WashingtonExec: What one phrase embodies 2020 Company LLC?
Bhungalia: “Performance Driven.”
WashingtonExec: What would you consider to be the most important aspect of your job?
Bhungalia: Maintaining the corporate culture – where we remain focused on our customers and employees.
WashingtonExec: What activities do you enjoy outside of work?
Bhungalia: Spending time with the family, traveling, playing basketball.
