WashingtonExec reached out to area executives to gain insight and share local “secrets to success” stories.
Anthony Robbins, Vice President Federal Sales at Brocade gave WashingtonExec his three secrets to success.
Anthony Robbins: The three things that have played the most important role in getting me to where I am today I learned from my mom.
1. Challenges can be overcome with hard work.
Every job in every industry has its own unique set of obstacles and often the easy way is not the best option. A little more effort will frequently create an exponentially better result.
2. There is no substitute for good energy, focus and of course hard work.
Surround yourself with smart, positive people and the job will be easier. A strong, focused team with these characteristics will make a world of difference in reaching your goals.
3. Don’t tell me what can’t be done; explore the possibilities.
Maybe it’s cliché to say, but I don’t want to hear problems, I want to hear the solutions. Don’t tell me that something can’t be done, really dig into what you want to accomplish and find a way. It may be daunting and near impossible, but still possible.
I say, rise to the challenge. Work hard and you will meet your goals. You might even surprise yourself.
