This year’s Fight Night was another incredibly successful event. The annual jam-packed boxing evening raised over $2 million dollars for DC’s underprivileged children and provided a place for Washington executive leaders to get away from the office and remember the more important things in life.

With over 2,000 guests in attendance, the highlight of the night went to Joe Robert. At the Washington Hilton, Robert announced a $5 million dollar pledge for the organization he founded,  Fight For Children (FFC). The organization announced that it will use the gift to establish the Joseph E. Robert Fund For Children.

Joe Robert, a Washington, D.C. area real estate financier and steadfast philanthropist, died on December 7th of this year from a rare form of brain cancer.

Read more about Robert’s impact on the Washington, D.C. community, business and nonprofit related, in this Washington Post article.

WashingtonExec is currently collecting quotes in remembrance of Robert’s life and legacy for an upcoming feature article. Please contact us if you are interested.
