Recently, STG appointed Rick Parkington to serve as its new Senior VP and CTO. In this role he will be responsible for the development and implementation of STG’s technical solutions. Parkington will oversee STG’s solution architect team and internal IT division.

Parkington said, “Technical solutions are what make the difference for our customers to fulfill their missions, and I was drawn to STG by its commitment to bringing meaningful solutions and capabilities to our customers. As CTO, I will be able to leverage resources from the entire company to ensure the solutions are steered from the appropriate experts, mitigating risk while fostering innovation.”

Prior to STG, Parkington served as VP and CTO of the Intelligence Solutions Division at General Dynamics Information Technology. He holds an M.S. in Engineering and Information Management from The George Washington University, an M.A. in International Relations from Salve Regina University, an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a B.S. in Mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy.

STG’s COO Paul Fernandes said, “He is a recognized leader in his field, and under his technical leadership, STG will be better positioned to meet the growing technology needs of our customers.”

Prior to industry, he served a 21-year career as a U.S. Navy pilot.
