Last week SAIC announced it was awarded an IDIQ contract by the GSA to provide telecommunication equipment and support services. The multiple-award contract has a period of performance of three years, three months base period of performance, with six one year options, and a not-to-exceed ordering contract ceiling value of $5 billion for all awardees, if all options are exercised.

Executive VP for Business Development, Strategy, and Mergers and Acquisitions Jim Cuff said,  “This contract award is an opportunity for SAIC to continue our long time support of GSA and its government customers.”

Government agencies will use the Connections II contract to meet their equipment, building, and campus telecommunications infrastructure needs both within the continental United States and in foreign countries with the approval of the task order Contracting Officer. Connections II will also provide services to support existing networks and design customized solutions in both unclassified and classified environments.

“We look forward to supporting the telecommunications infrastructure needs of the US Government around the world,” said Rick Reynolds, SAIC senior vice president and acting business unit general manager.
