Today, the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association announced the twenty-four companies selected to present at this fall’s TechBUZZ event. TechBUZZ is being held in conjunction with DC Week on November 10 at the Spectrum Theatre in Arlington, Virginia. Companies chosen to present were selected from over one hundred applicants and included a variety of technology sectors.

Executive Director of MAVA Julia Spicer said “After hosting this event in the spring prior to Capital Connection, our investors gave us such amazing feedback around the energy and value this event brings to the community. We are so excited to bring so many start–up companies and investors together in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and know that by partnering with DCWeek we are reaching even more innovative company-builders than ever before.”

The chosen companies were selected based on extensive review based on quality of product or service solution, scalability of the enterprise, potential market, experience and relevant abilities of the management team, and technical and domain expertise.“We are looking for every way possible to ensure the most success for our local entrepreneurs – including ways to enhance their ability to connect with investors who can provide valuable advice as well as a source of funding,” said Spicer.
